Ingredients
  

  • For the garlic bread base:
  • 1 large baguette or Italian loaf sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped or 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • For the pizza toppings:
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, onions, or cooked chicken

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Garlic Bread Base:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Place the bread on a baking sheet, buttered side up, and bake for 5-7 minutes until slightly toasted.
  • Add the Pizza Toppings:
  • Remove the bread from the oven and spread a layer of pizza sauce over each half.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.
  • Add your desired toppings.
  • Bake the Garlic Bread Pizza:
  • Return the bread to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • For a crispier finish, broil on high for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes.
